Our tenth “Alumni of the Week” title goes to Darshana Hanchate of Cohort-III, who has voluntarily taught the Adobe Photoshop class to the Cohort 4 Fellows of the Deshpande Fellowship program. We appreciate her support to the DFP & also congratulate for being the second from the Cohort 3 to get this Alumni of the Week award.
Remember, Glocal is still looking for submissions for future issues in order to accomplish its goal of becoming a standard within the community. We welcome any of your contributions, and hope that you will share your work with us. You can refer to THIS POST if you are in need of some ideas.
Any submissions can be sent to fellowship@dfmail.org or alumni@dfmail.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
Our ninth “Alumni of the Week” title goes to Shahina of Cohort-I, who has continuously offered support to the Fellowship Program since her graduation. Shahina’s specific areas of interest are 'sanitation' and 'water conservation' because she feels these are the needs of the hour. She has spent most of her life working to improve social and environmental conditions of urban and rural communities.
Shahina has shared her idea of including Organizational profile writing in the technical writing curriculum, and also shared important and interesting links like “100% water meter village”
Thanks very much to Shahina for her steady support and we wish her continued success in her life. Keep it up Shahina!
The Deshpande Fellowship Program is a 6-month, residential training program run by the Deshpande Center for Social Entrepreneurship (DCSE) in Hubli, India.
DFP works for passionate university graduates and young professionals who are interested in generating social change or starting their own social enterprise. Over the course of the 6-month Fellowship, DFP gives them comprehensive, rigorous, practical training to prepare them for a successful career as social entrepreneurs.
DFP transforms Fellows into India's next generation of social leaders. We do this through modules, guest speaker sessions with distinguished social entrepreneurs from around the globe, and through giving Fellows hands-on, practical experience through Leadership and Entrepreneurship activities, as well as special events.
You will be able to read about all of these and more here, at the DFP blog. Welcome!
