Hemal Desai Guest Speaker

Mr. Hemal Desai he is a one of the member of Hubli Champion and also a General Manager in Mayur Hotel, Hubli. which is one among the best hotel of the Hubli. We had him as a Guest Speaker for Cohort 6th batch. It was really a great opportunity for fellows to interact with him. while sharing their learnings from session. fellows focussed on some particular points by which they get impressed, like giving a service to the customer whichever they want, If you are not the person to provide it then connect it to the person who provides it. By this we are going to build the relationship for a long time and they will contact us whenever they want the service which we provide.
He even gave his own example like when he left his previous company the customers even moved with him to the new company where he is working now.
Fellows really liked the way he thinks about connecting himself with people and building strong and long lasting relationship.
We really Thank Mr. Hemal for supporting the fellowship program.

Guest Speaker : Mr. Sandeep Hegde

In Deshpande Fellowship Program we had Mr. Sandeep Hegde as Guest Speaker, on 22nd April. It was very interactive for fellows. The session it self stated with questions by sandeep that what they want to know about him? and the question like what made you to choose this business? how was the family support initially? and what were the challenges in your business.? etc. Fellows were very eager to listen his words because he is a Just graduated from his computer engineering, and started his business in software by name "Dotcord.com" which is situated in Belguam.

The way he think is very different from other like one question came from fellows by saying what would you do if you have any competitors in market? and his answer was so simple that he told why should i think about my competitors? I will concentrate on what service I am providing and how I can give a better service to my customers. rather than who are my compitators and what they are doing I should think what more better i can do, and it really impressed the fellows.

Once gain we thank Mr. Sandeep Hegde for giving this opportunity for fellows to interact with you and learn something from you.

Poster Presentation

This is one of the DFP practice, having poster presentation by new fellows. It breaks the Ice between fellows and staff and between fellows. They present them-self in a creative way. They introduce their family, education, experience and Goal in a chart paper by putting some picture and memorable moments of their life. It is a great opportunity for them to talk with the people who are already experienced in this development sector and in future days they can have a sharing of knowledge with each other.

For cohort 6 fellows it was really an great opportunity they met Mr. Guru Raj Deshpande and Mrs. Jayashri Deshpande.

NGO visit for Cohort 6

Second day of the fellows was very exciting for them they visited Akshaya Patra, Samarthnam, Baal Balaga and Bhageertha, as a part of NGO. They were surprised to see how the Organizations are working in development sector, the way they are serving and the output they are getting was unimaginable for fellows. In the session of sharing they appreciated Akshaya Patra for adopting technology to reduce the burden and concentrate on the goal and objective what they have,
Samarthnam for giving opportunity to the physically challenged people to show their talent and raise fund for their organization by which they can help other beneficiaries.

Whatever Baal Balaga is doing looking at that, they felt really this is the only one platform for the children where they really come to know what they are and what they can be, even Baal Balaga is changing the parents mindset. Bhageertha is putting effort to make people to realize the importance of waste materials. Fellows got a great learning by the visit.
